Technical Data
Size:
100 µl
Suspending Buffer:
10 mM Tris, 1 mM EDTA, pH 8.0
PCR Analysis of DNA Control:
PCR analysis was performed on purified HeLa DNA using the Applied Biosystems Core Reagents PCR Kit and primers specific for HPV-18. The reaction produced a 140 bp fragment from the E6 region of HPV-18. The PCR product was visualized on a 1.0% agarose gel using EtBr staining.
Extract Preparation/DNA Quantitation:
DNA was extracted from HeLa cells using proteinase K, SDS treatment; phenol:chloroform extraction, and ethanol precipitation. DNA concentration was determined by fluorescence using PicoGreen®.
Shipping and Storage:
This product is shipped frozen on dry ice. Store at -20°C upon receipt. Avoid multiple freeze-thaw cycles as product degradation may result.
*Note: Upon thawing, centrifuge the vial for a few seconds to remove residual droplets from the lid.
Safe Handling Recommendations:
This DNA extraction procedure has been shown to eliminate the infectivity of most viruses and bacteria; therefore, this product is not considered biohazardous. However, this product is not specifically tested and should be handled in accordance with Good Laboratory Practices and any applicable local guidelines.

Human Papilloma Virus 18 (HPV-18). Nonenveloped, double-stranded DNA virus.
