HIV-1 IIIB Strain Infected Cell DNA
Human Immunodeficiency Virus 1, strain IIIB (HIV-1). Family: Retroviridae, genus: Lentivirus. Single-stranded, positive-sense enveloped RNA virus. DNA isolated from HIV-1IIIB infected cells supplied at a concentration of 50 ng/µL cellular DNA in a volume of 100 µL. This DNA is not suitable for quantitation.
Virus: HIV-1, strain IIIB
Virus Preparation: Virus infected cells
Cell Line for Propagation: H9
Unit Size: 100 µL @ 50 ng/µL (5 µg) 100 µL @ 50 ng/µL (5 µg)
Suspending Buffer: 10 mM Tris, 1 mM EDTA, pH 8.0
DNA Quantitation: DNA concentration was determined by fluorometry using PicoGreen®.
PCR Analysis of DNA Control: PCR analysis was performed on infected cell DNA using the PE Biosystems Core Reagents PCR Kit and primers specific to the gag gene of HIV-1IIIB. The reaction produced a 114 bp fragment. The PCR product was visualized on a 1.0% agarose gel using EtBr staining. A representative photograph is shown below.
*Note: Upon thawing, centrifuge the vial for a few seconds to remove residual droplets from the lid.
