HTLV-I MT-2 Strain Infected Cell DNA
Human T-Cell Lymphotropic Virus Type I, strain MT-2 (HTLV-I). Family: Retroviridae, subfamily: Oncovirinae. Single-stranded, positive-sense enveloped RNA virus. DNA isolated from HTLV-IMT-2 infected cells supplied at a concentration of 50 ng/µL cellular DNA in a volume of 100 µL. This DNA is not suitable for quantitation.
Suspending Buffer: 10 mM Tris, 1 mM EDTA, pH 8.0
DNA Quantitation: DNA concentration was determined by fluorometry using PicoGreen®.
PCR Analysis of DNA Control: PCR analysis was performed on infected cell DNA using the PE Biosystems GeneAmp® Gold PCR Reagent Kit and primers specific to the rex and tax genes of HTLV-I. The reaction produced a 138 bp fragment. The PCR product was visualized on a 1.0% agarose gel using EtBr staining.
*Note: Upon thawing, centrifuge the vial for a few seconds to remove residual droplets from the lid.
