HTLV-I MT-2 Strain Purified Viral Lysate
HTLV-I, strain MT-2 purified virus preparation lysed with Triton X-100. Virus is completely inactivated and contains all viral proteins present in active preparation. Can be used for applications such as ELISA or Western blot requiring non-infectious viral proteins.
Virus: HTLV-I
Virus Preparation: Purified virus
Cell Line for Propagation: MT-2
Suspending Buffer: 10 mM Tris, 150 mM NaCl, 1 mM EDTA, pH 7.5
Final Fill Volume: Varies by lot
Preparation of Lysate: HTLV-I purified virus adjusted to a protein concentration of approximately 1.0 mg/mL and Triton X-100 added to a final concentration of 1.0% in TNE buffer.
Protein Concentration: [varies by lot] mg/mL by Pierce BCA protein assay method using BSA standard. Alternative methods for determining protein concentration may give different values.
Virus Particle Count: Varies by lot
Functional Activity: Reactive in Western blot using HTLV-I p24 MAb. Reactive in ELISA.
Validation of Inactivation: The methods of inactivation used in the preparation of this viral lysate have been validated to consistently produce a completely inactivated retrovirus. Complete virus lysis of this lot was confirmed by electron microscopy.
*Note: Upon thawing, centrifuge the vial for a few seconds to remove residual droplets from the lid.
