Protein Concentration Virus: HHV-6A, strain GS
Virus Preparation: Purified virus
Cell Line for Propagation: HSB-2
Suspending Buffer: 10mM Tris, 150mM NaCl, 1mM EDTA, pH 7.5 with 50 µg/ml gentamicin
Preparation of Lysate: HHV-6AGS purified virus adjusted to a protein concentration of approximately 0.5 mg/mL and Triton X-100 added to a final concentration of 0.25% in TNE buffer.
Protein Concentration: [varies by lot] mg/mL by Pierce BCA protein method using BSA standard. Alternative methods for determining protein concentration may give different values.
Virus Particle Count: Varies by lot
Functional Activity: Reactive in ELISA
Final Fill Volume: Varies by lot
Validation of Inactivation: This lot of viral lysate has not been specifically tested for inactivation. However, the method used in the preparation of this viral lysate has been proven to consistently and completely inactivate high-titered human and mammalian, enveloped DNA viruses. This has been demonstrated at ABI using various cell culture infectivity assays.
