Product Description: Mouse monoclonal antibody to the restricted early protein (EA-R) p17 of Epstein-Barr Virus. The antibody originates from hybridoma cell culture supernatant and is purified by Protein A agarose affinity chromatography. EBV/EA-R, p17 polypeptide is encoded by the BHRF1 open reading frame of the EBV genome.

Protein Concentration: [varies by lot] mg/mL determined by BCA Assay. Alternative methods for determining protein concentration may give different results.

Presentation: Purified IgG supplied in PBS, pH 7.4, with 0.1% sodium azide

Purity: 95% pure as estimated by analysis of Coomassie blue stained SDS-PAGE.

IFA Titer: 1:5,120 - 1:10,240 (using infected Raji cells)

Functional Activity: Reactive to the restricted early protein (EA-R) p17 of Epstein-Barr Virus.  Reactive in IFA in productively infected Raji cells using acetone fixed cells, but not in methanol fixed cells.  Reactive in ELISA and Western blot.

This product is shipped frozen on dry ice. Store at -20°C upon receipt. Avoid multiple freeze-thaw cycles as product degradation may result.
