KSHV/HHV-8 MAb to ORF73 (anti-LNA-1)
Product Description: Rat monoclonal antibody to latent nuclear antigen (LNA-1) ORF-73 of human herpesvirus 8 (HHV-8). This antibody originates from ascites fluid and is purified by protein G chromatography.
Hybridoma Clone: LN 53
Fill Volume: Varies by lot.
Protein Concentration: Determined by BCA Assay using Bovine Gamma Globulin (BGG) as the standard. Alternative methods for determining protein concentration may give different results.
Presentation: Purified IgG supplied in PBS, pH 7.4, with 0.1% Thimerosal
Isotype: IgG2c
Purity: > 95% pure as estimated by analysis of Coomassie blue stained SDS-PAGE.
IFA Titer: Varies by lot.
Functional Activity: Reactive with latent protein ORF-73 of human herpesvirus 8 or HHV-8 positive cells. Reactive in IFA with the nucleus of infected cells, ELISA, immunoprecipitation of specific viral protein, Western blot, and flow cytometry. Reactive in immunohistochemistry using paraffin-embedded sections from KS, PEL, and MCD patients. Recommended use dilution: 1:1000 for IHC staining.
IHC Procedural Notes: For the demonstration of LNA-1 by IHC staining in formalin-fixed paraffin-embedded sections, perform antigen retrieval by heating in microwave oven in 10mM citrate buffer, pH 6.0 for 20 minutes. Recommended buffer is CitraPlus Solution (BioGenex, San Ramon, CA, USA, www.biogenex.net).
*Note: Upon thawing, centrifuge the vial for a few seconds to remove residual droplets from the lid.
