KSHV/HHV-8 MAb to ORF59
Product Description: Mouse monoclonal antibody to lytic cycle-associated early protein (50 kDa), encoded by ORF-59 of HHV-8, identified as DNA polymerase processivity factor (PF-8). This antibody originates from ascites fluid and is purified by protein A agarose affinity chromatography.
Hybridoma Clone: 11 D 1
Protein Concentration: [varies by lot] mg/mL determined by BCA Assay. Alternative methods for determining protein concentration may give different results.
Presentation: Purified IgG supplied in PBS, pH 7.4 containing 0.1% sodium azide.
Isotype: IgG2b
Purity: > 95% pure as estimated by analysis of Coomassie blue stained SDS-PAGE.
IFA Titer: Varies by lot.
Functional Reactivity: This monoclonal antibody recognizes the HHV-8 lytic cycle- associated ORF-59 early protein (nuclear PF-8 protein), which is expressed in PEL cell lines (BCBL-1, BCP-1, BC-3, KS-1) 48 hours post-TPA induction. Reactive in IFA, Western blot (TPA-induced cell lysate), RIP, and in flow cytometry. Shows predominantly nuclear membrane fluorescence in IFA. No cross-reactivity with EBV.
*Note: Upon thawing, centrifuge the vial for a few seconds to remove residual droplets from the lid.
