Product Description: Mouse monoclonal antibody to HHV-8 virion-associated envelope glycoprotein, a late protein encoded by ORF K 8.1 A and K 8.1 B (K 8.1 A/B). Fusion proteins expressed in bacteria were 52-54 kDa and 48-50 kDa by ORF K 8.1 A and ORF K 8.1 B, respectively. This antibody originates from serum-free hybridoma cell culture medium and is purified by protein G agarose affinity chromatography.

Functional Reactivity: Reactive with lytic cycle-associated late envelope glycoprotein (ORF K 8.1 A/B) of HHV-8. Reactive in IFA, ELISA, RIP, Western blot, and in Immune Electron Microscopy assay. In IFA, this MAb shows bright fluorescence predominantly localized in the cytoplasm and plasma membranes. No reactivity with EBV-positive (P3HR-1) or HHV-8 negative (BJAB) cells.
