Product Description: Mouse monoclonal antibody to HHV-8 virion-associated envelope glycoprotein, a late protein encoded by ORF K 8.1A (228 aa). Fusion protein expressed in bacteria was 52 - 54 kDa by ORF K 8.1A. This antibody originates from serum-free hybridoma cell culture medium and is purified by Protein G chromatography.

Protein Concentration: Determined by BCA Assay using Bovine Gamma Globulin (BGG) as the standard. Alternative methods for determining protein concentration may give different results.

Presentation: Purified IgG supplied in PBS, pH 7.4 containing 0.1% sodium azide.

Isotype: IgG2a

Purity: > 95% pure as estimated by analysis of Coomassie blue stained SDS-PAGE.

IFA Titer: [varies by lot]

Functional Reactivity: Reactive with lytic cycle-associated late envelope glycoprotein (ORF K 8.1A) of KSHV/HHV-8. Reactive in IFA, Immunohistochemistry, ELISA, Western blot, RIP, Immune Electron Microscopy assay and flow cytometry. In IFA, this MAb shows bright fluorescence predominantly localized in the cytoplasm and plasma membranes. No reactivity with EBV-positive (P3HR1) or HHV-8 negative (BJAB) cells.

This product is shipped frozen on dry ice. Store at -20°C upon receipt. Avoid multiple freeze-thaw cycles as product degradation may result.
