Product Description: Mouse monoclonal antibody to glycoprotein gp116/64/54 of HHV-6A and B. This antibody originates from mouse ascites fluids and is purified by protein G chromatography.

Protein Concentration: Determined by BCA Assay using Bovine Gamma Globulin (BGG) as the standard. Alternative methods for determining protein concentration may give different results.
Presentation: Purified IgG supplied in PBS, pH 7.4 containing 0.1% Thimerosal.

Purity: > 95% pure as estimated by analysis of Coomassie blue stained SDS-PAGE gel.
IFA Titer: 1:40 - 1:80 (>/= 2+ intensity)
Functional Activity: Immunoreactive with HHV-6A and B glycoprotein gp116/gp64/gp54 in infected cell cultures, PBMCs and tissues. In IFA with HHV-6A and B infected cells, this MAb shows membrane or cytoplasmic fluorescence depending on the stage of infection1. Recognizes HHV-6A and B specific viral proteins by immunoprecipitation2,3. Reactive in immunohistochemistry4 on formalin-fixed paraffin-embedded tissue sections of oral carcinoma5 and multiple sclerosis brain tissue specimens.
