Product Description: Mouse monoclonal antibody to glycoprotein gp116/gp64/gp54 (core protein) of HHV-6A and B. This antibody originates from mouse hybridoma cell culture supernatant and is concentrated by ultrafiltration.

Functional Activity: Immunoreactive with HHV-6A and B glycoprotein gp116/gp64/gp54 in infected cell cultures, PBMCs and tissues. In IFA with HHV-6A and B infected cells, this MAb shows membrane or cytoplasmic fluorescence depending on the stage of infection1. Recognizes HHV-6A and B specific viral proteins by immunoprecipitation2,3. Reactive in immunohistochemistry4 on formalin-fixed paraffin-embedded tissue sections of oral carcinoma5 and multiple sclerosis brain tissue specimens.
