Product Description: Purified polyclonal rabbit anti-Vaccinia virus IgG. This polyclonal antibody originates from sera of rabbits hyperimmunized by injection of live Vaccinia virus and is purified by Protein G agarose chromatography. This lot of purified IgG has been adsorbed with uninfected Vero cells. Hyperimmune anti-Vaccinia serum and this lot of purified IgG have been found to test negative for infectious Vaccinia virus following serial passage in Vero cell culture.

Immunogen/Host: Live Vaccinia virus, Lister strain/Rabbit

Presentation: Protein G purified IgG supplied in Dulbecco’s PBS (pH 7.2) with 0.1% Sodium Azide

Protein Concentration: [varies by lot] mg/mL determined by BCA Assay. Alternative methods for determining protein concentration may give different results.

Purity: >95% pure, as determined by SDS-PAGE

Suggested Applications: ELISA, IFA, Precipitation test, Lateral Flow Assay, dot blot, Immunohistochemistry

Functional Activity: ELISA: Using Vaccinia, Lister strain UV-Inactivated virus (ABI Catalog #10-253-000), ELISA titer was 51,200 units/mL (A unit is defined as the reciprocal dilution that gives an absorbance of 0.500 in our test system)

This product is shipped frozen on dry ice. Store at -20°C upon receipt. Avoid multiple freeze-thaw cycles as product degradation may result.
*Note: Upon thawing, centrifuge the vial for a few seconds to remove residual droplets from the lid.
