Cell Culture

Cell cultures of human or animal origin can be prepared from starter cultures supplied by the customer or from ABI’s extensive bank of normal and tumor cell lines. Cultures supplied by the customer are first tested for mycoplasma and other adventitious agents prior to expansion. Subcellular fractions and organelles can also be isolated and purified on a custom basis.

ABI’s BSL-3 facilities have the ability to accommodate cell culture systems of up to 500 liters per lot of both adherent and suspension cell culture. Up to 1 gram quantities of purified virus are available per lot.
